We hope you and the children you have brought have a wonderful time at LifeLand for the 2015-2016 season!  LifeLand indoor playground has been apart of the Lanigan & area region for 7 years and have seen 1000s of people visit.

For this NEW SEASON (2015-2016), LIFELAND IS HAVING A SIGNIFICANT MAKEOVER!

One of the BIG changes is that we are NOW OPEN FOR ALL AGES!  For many years we have been pre-school targeted only and that has changed.  There will be some bouncers that will be "pre-school only" but the rest are for everyone.  We have found that children ages 12 and enjoy LifeLand the most.

EXPECTATIONS  AND GUIDELINES

Please take a moment to review the items below, as some of our procedures have changed in order to serve you better:

1. Everyone must fill out the waiver form (SEE BELOW) outlining your agreement to the responsibilities you have as a supervising care giver while at LifeLand.  Please read it carefully, sign and initial it, and return it to the information desk.  NOTE: ALL WAIVERS ARE GOOD FOR ONLY THE CURRENT SEASON (NEW WAIVERS REQUIRED FOR THE 15/16 season.   Waivers can be picked up at LifePoint Church (40 Baun Street) and brought in when you come or filled out in the office.

2. As LifeLand is unsupervised, children are not to be left at LifeLand alone.  Adults are encouraged to be active with the children in their care and PLAY together (we discourage sitting and texting)   Activity is good for everyone!

3. Our goal for LifeLand is to make it available to whomever would find the facility useful.  For this reason, there is no charge for play.  However, the expenses incurred to offer this opportunity include: paid setup and tear down crew every week, lights and heat, equipment upkeep, repairs, expansion, administrative staff, flooring coverage for safety, PLUS MORE!  Donations are suggested at $5 per child/visit. Envelopes are available at the information desk for this purpose, as well as, a drop box.  Please make cheques payable to LPC (LifePoint Church).  Please include your full mailing address.  We encourage everyone to be as generous as possible with their donations.
 PLEASE BE GENEROUS :).

4. APEX SOCKS: This season EVERYONE is required to wear APEX socks at LifeLand.  The cost is $2.00 a pair and you can keep them after you bought them.  These "jump socks not only aid in maintaining a sanitary environment, but also improve safety and enjoyment with their rubber gripped soles. The rubber grips give everyone the solid footing they need".

They will be for sale at LifeLand unless you already have a pair from Apex in Saskatoon.   This is a one time purchase as you can reuse them each time.

5.  You are welcome to bring your own lunch and/or snacks. Tables available for your use.  We kindly ask, please clean up after yourself  by washing your dishes and wiping the tables.

6. PLEASE leave LifeLand in better order than when you arrived, daily.  LifeLand needs your help to keep things neat and orderly.
Thank you for trying out LifeLand, we trust your play day is a great day! God bless you!

FROM THE PASTOR: A Responce to the USA's Court Decision on "Marriage Equality"

Good morning LPC family... I have been watching and listening to the many responses to the USA's court decision to re-define the word marriage. The discussion seems not about the re-definition of marriage but call to accept and approve of homosexual behavior. It seems that now respectful disagreement is not allowed... in fact it is called intolerance (the BIG sin of our age it seems) if you disagree.
MANY are being caught up in the wave of loud voices that calling Christians, like me, to change my views. If I don't, I am a knuckle dragging bigot... to be hated and silenced.
I have publicly stated before that in the feelings of attraction one has are NOT sinful, it is what we DO (our actions) with those feeling that bring sin and ultimately death. OUR feelings or emotions or desires, no matter how powerful, must not lead us. If they do lead us will we go back to the days of “everyone does what is right in their own eyes?” I fear we are already on the path. The laws will change in time and society will get all they want, which will, in the end I fear, NOT be what anyone wants.
I feel that people who STRONGLY disagree with the decision of the supreme court of the USA decision (and the one in Canada, years ago) on the re-definition of marriage have no right to stand up and say so. They are afraid of what would be the response of what other people might say. ALSO, I feel that when pressed to answer why we do not agree, we do not have the words to respond clearly, lovingly and thoughtfully.

NO... I do not HATE people who live or act differently than me, but I also do not approve of their actions if they act in a manner that the Word of God says is not permissible on whatever the issue. We must not run away from these discussions but have the words to answer why we disagree, with love.  NO... I am not better than anyone and have great brokeness in my life... I need help and in the Bible as it called me to put to death the deads of the flesh and live in the righteousness that God gives us.
ROM 6 says " 11In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.
14For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
15What then?  Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!
16Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?
17But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance.
18You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.

Clear...
Here are some VERY helpful links that I have been encouraged and helped. Maybe they will be a help to you. I pray that we can have the resolve of pastor Rick Warren when he says, “I fear the disapproval of God more than I fear your disapproval of you (Piers Morgan) or the disapproval of society.”
I am praying for you today.

PASTOR KEVIN SAWATSKY

101 Years YOUNG

Here is an article I wrote for our local paper.  I hope it is a blessing to you.

"What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes." (James 4:14).

I am feeling very reflective about life and the shortness of it, as I write this article.  I keep wondering "when did the years become just hours in length?"   At one time, it seemed, that when someone told you something would take years to do, it would be a LONG time to wait for it to be finished. Maybe years is a long time to wait for something.  Yet when I think of how this week we are mourning the life of Otto Schroeder, a 101 year old man from "LeROY" (as he would say) you would think he passed early!
I only got to know Otto when he was 98 and for the past three years he has become my friend, and I loved him, with SO many others that love him also.

Looking at Otto's life and 101 years he lived, it seemed like just a blink, just a few "hours" really.  His life left us all wanting and wishing he could have been with us much longer.  I know the farm that he worked on will miss him dearly this spring.  In fact, he worked hard this past fall bringing in the harvest by driving the tractor.  Amazing!  With the news of other people in our community that have also passed on, people that are so important to us, we again discover life is short.

This coming week, my baby girl is turning 18 years old.  WHAT?   When did 18 year pass since I held her for the first time? I told her when she was three that she was not "allowed" to turn four. she did not listen then and I expect she will not listen this week as she becomes and "adult" (Happy Birthday JilliAnn!).

As I asked, when did the years become just hours in length?  "A mist" is what St. James calls our life. That is a good description.  Pastor John Piper writes in his book called Life As A Vapor "Living knowing that your life is a vapor is different than just living. Things here are passing away. You've got to hold on to what will stand. Savor what matters. Life Is Short.Eternity Is Long. Live Like It. You will exist forever. You and God are both in the universe to stay-either as friends on His terms, or enemies on yours-which it will be is proven in this life. And this life is a vapor. Two seconds, and we will be gone."

My purpose of this article is remind us all that today matters.  You will not get it back.  So live well with God and with mankind.  For what you do today and what you choose will have great impact in all the tomorrows that you may or may not have.  Do not be unwise to think that you have YEARS to live so it does not matter what you do, say, act or think.  Life is short and your spirit will live forever.

St Paul writes to the church in Ephesus "Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is." Ephesians 5:15-17.  Mr. Otto Schroeder did that.  He left us all wanting more time with him.  God wants to remind you to live your life knowing that YEARS are really just like HOURS in length.  Live them humbly before God and man.  To quote the great leader Moses "Seventy years are given us! And some may even live to eighty. But even the best of these years are often empty and filled with pain; soon they disappear, and we are gone.
So teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend them as we should." (Psalms 90:10,12).  Yes. teach us Lord.

Dedicated to the memory of Otto Reinhard Schroeder
